Piecing & quilting

The Schmetz Microtex (Sharp) sewing machine needle features a very slim, acute point that creates beautifully precise topstitching and perfectly straight stitches for piecing and quilting.

Ideal for sewing cotton, batik, woven fabrics, microfibers, polyester, silk, foils, artificial leather, and coated materials — the go-to needle for any project where precision is paramount. 

Needle system 130/705 H-M. Five (5) needles per card.

How We Cut Fabric

We cut fabric in 50cm units unless otherwise specified in the product description (e.g., fat quarters, end of bolt remnants, and pre-cut bundles).

Regular Fabric

Each unit of fabric you add to your cart is cut as follows:

Units Size
1 unit 50cm × 110cm
2 units 1 metre × 110cm (continuous cut)
3 units 1.5 metres × 110cm (continuous cut)
4 units 2 metres × 110cm (continuous cut)

Note: Multiple units will always be cut in one continuous length.

Fabric Panels

For fabric panels, each unit you add to your cart equals one complete panel:

2 units 2 panels (continuous cut)
3 units 3 panels (continuous cut)
4 units 4 panels (continuous cut)

Note: Multiple panels will always be cut in one continuous length.
